Such requests, even if they may otherwise appear to be from your real estate agent or another person connected with your property transaction, are likely part of a scheme to defraud you by stealing funds from you or using your identity to commit a crime. Florida’s Information Protection Act (FIPA)

FIPA’s purpose is to protect consumer data from misuse by businesses. It requires companies to obtain consent before collecting any personal information about individuals. Companies must also notify individuals when they collect information on them. FIPA protects vulnerable internet users from data misuse. It has a strict component that provides all the categories of protected data and what companies and organizations should do to ensure data compliance. The act also specifies what organizations should do after experiencing a data breach.

International Users

Our consumer applications are hosted by servers in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States, your personal information will be transferred to the United States for storage, processing and use.
